Position Summary
If you are an experienced Project Leader, with knowledge of payroll, tax or benefits administration, and want to join an organization that is growing and has significant opportunities for you to make a positive impact, come join our team. We need an organized and communicative project leader who has prior experience converting/implementing clients and working in the HCM/PEO industry to help us navigate each conversion project. This key player will be instrumental in interfacing with our newly acquired organizations, collaborating with them to obtain information in order to complete a smooth transition for their existing clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interface directly with conversion clients regarding project timelines, status, requests for information, coordination of resources, identification of risks and upcoming next steps
• Grow to become a subject matter expert in the System Conversions process, being able to communicate the flow and expectations to all involved (clients, partners, internal resources, vendors, etc)
• Participate in and lead innovation projects to continuously improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
• Identify project complexity to allow for identification of project resource needs and timelines
• Provide guidance to team members to assist with issue resolution and coordinate additional internal resources where necessary.
• Lead by example to create an environment where accuracy, teamwork and commitment are expected and supported
• Provide feedback on associate performance as it relates to completing assigned deliverables timely and with quality.
• Track and provide overall status updates, maintaining project plans and monitoring overall project health.
• Complete post-project lessons learned evaluation to obtain feedback focused on continuously improving the client experience, quality and process.
• Work closely with team manager on resource assignments and needs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Self-motivated, professional capable of working with minimal supervision, ability to reflect and hold yourself accountable while working under pressure and meeting concrete deadlines
• Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and quickly switch between projects and priorities
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external employees with diverse backgrounds
• Better than average written and spoken communication skills with the ability to adjust messaging depending on the audience
• Operates with a high attention to detail, forward thinking throughout the process to identify & mitigate risk and make necessary adjustments to ensure conversion project success
• Familiarity with project management software tools and methodologies and best practices
• Experience seeing projects through from start to finish, ensuring every task is completed
Education & Experience:
• 2-3 years of payroll/benefits/tax administration required, with experience in PEO, ASO preferred
• 1-3 years project management experience
• Prior experience in a system conversion or implementation department required
• Experience with payroll software/applications preferred
