Position Summary

Bellman, also known as a Bellhop, is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests by assisting with luggage, providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and ensuring a pleasant stay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests: Welcome guests upon arrival and assist them with their luggage.
  • Escort Guests: Guide guests to their rooms and explain room features and hotel amenities.
  • Provide Information: Offer information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Assist with Transportation: Arrange transportation for guests, such as taxis or car rentals.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the lobby and other public areas are clean and organized.
  • Deliver Items: Deliver messages, packages, and room service orders to guest rooms.
  • Handle Requests: Assist with special requests, such as arranging transportation or making restaurant reservations

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lift and carry heavy luggage, friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with local area attractions and restaurants.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
