Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, fryers, ice machines, and more.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide efficient, lasting solutions.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and in compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety standards.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Maintain detailed records of service, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory using our work management system.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
- Stay current with industry safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Provide fast food restaurant maintenance support.
- Commute between locations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of kitchen appliances and systems, with hands-on diagnostic and repair skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to commute between locations.
- Fluent in English and able to converse in English.
- Understanding kitchen layout design and equipment installation. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Work Order Systems.(Preferred)
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial kitchen maintenance or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certifications in appliance repair, HVAC, or related trades. (Preferred)
- Experience implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs. (Preferred)
