Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, fryers, ice machines, and more.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide efficient, lasting solutions.
  • Ensure all equipment operates safely and in compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Maintain detailed records of service, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory using our work management system.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Stay current with industry safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide fast food restaurant maintenance support.
  • Commute between locations as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen appliances and systems, with hands-on diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to commute between locations.
  • Fluent in English and able to converse in English.
  • Understanding kitchen layout design and equipment installation. (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Work Order Systems.(Preferred)

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial kitchen maintenance or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Certifications in appliance repair, HVAC, or related trades. (Preferred)
  • Experience implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs. (Preferred)
