Clinical Stabilization Services Director - MA

Position Summary

Our organization is seeking a Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) Director to oversee short-term residential services for individuals recovering from substance use disorders. This leadership role involves both clinical and operational oversight, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based care to adult patients in a structured, recovery-focused environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the CSS program and multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and clinical standards
  • Serve in a rotating virtual on-call leadership capacity
  • Oversee the use of restraints and emergency interventions in accordance with policy
  • Ensure fiscal accountability and program efficiency
  • Develop and implement care protocols that support stabilization and transition to long-term recovery
  • Collaborate with medical, clinical, and administrative departments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication, team-building, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care

Education & Experience

  • Licensed clinician (LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Massachusetts
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
  • Demonstrated experience with emergency protocols and restraint procedures
