Position Summary
The Weekend Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff at a Skilled Nursing Facility. This position is responsible for greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, providing general administrative support, and maintaining a professional and welcoming front desk environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist all visitors, vendors, and residents' family members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system.
- Ensure that all visitors sign in and out per facility policy.
- Monitor visitor compliance with facility protocols (e.g., infection control, mask usage, sign-in procedures).
- Provide information or direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and photocopying as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Support emergency procedures by following communication protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of resident and facility information at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Proficient with basic office equipment (phone systems, copier, scanner, computer).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
- Friendly, patient, and courteous attitude with residents and families
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior receptionist or clerical experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or SNF setting.
