Position Summary

The Head of Revenue and Operations will act as a key partner to the CEO in the strategic and day-to-day Sales, Partnerships, and Operations functions. In addition to being fully responsible for Sales and Partnerships, you will act as a liaison between VirgilHR and the shared services team within our parent company - including Finance, HR, Data Security, and Marketing - ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments. You will also play a pivotal part in sharing and influencing strategic marketing initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who's scaled a SaaS startup from early traction ($1M ARR) through growth ($10M+), and knows what it takes to lead revenue-generating teams while building strong operational foundations. You will work closely with the CEO, acting as her "right-hand " by contributing to high-level decision-making and driving execution across the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead & Scale Go-To-Market:
    • Own strategy and execution for Sales and Partnerships teams
    • Set targets, manage pipeline, and drive revenue growth
    • Partner with the VP of Marketing on campaigns, content, and GTM alignment
    • Track performance, optimize conversion funnels, and guide the team to hit ambitious growth goals
  • Collaborate Across Functions
    • Be the main point of contact for shared services: Finance, HR, Data Security, and Marketing
    • Partner closely with Finance to review monthly financials alongside the CEO and provide strategic insights to the CEO
    • Work across teams to solve problems, remove blockers, and ensure the business runs smoothly
    • Jump into special projects or critical decisions as needed—no task is too big or too small
  • Drive Execution
    • Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable plans
    • Ensure visibility, accountability, and alignment across teams
    • Lead with a people-first approach: coach, mentor, and develop team members
    • Support the CEO in making high-impact decisions while owning day-to-day execution

Travel may be required occasionally to attend team onsite meetings, customer events, industry conferences, and training sessions. This may include air travel, ground transportation (including cars, taxis, or rideshare services), and in some cases potential public transportation.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred.
  • At least five years' experience in a leadership role (COO, CRO, Head of Revenue, VP of Sales/Partnerships, etc.)
  • Proven experience scaling a SaaS startup from ~$1M to $10M+ ARR
  • Strong GTM background with ownership of both Sales and Partnerships
  • Deep experience collaborating with Marketing and other cross-functional teams
  • Strong operational chops – bonus if you've worn a COO hat before.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Excel (and able to toll up your sleeves in them).
  • HR Tech or legal tech experience is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed.

Environmental Conditions

Primarily will be an indoor, office environment. May occasionally have moderate noise level from copiers, W2 or check printers, and coworkers. May work in various additional environments, including client offices, industry conferences, customer events, and training sessions. This means adapting to different settings and conditions regularly. This role may involve extended periods of sitting during travel and meetings, as well as standing and walking during client visits and events.
