About Us

Our client is an independently-owned insurance agency serving South Florida. We are growing exponentially and are hoping to find the right person to grow with us. They are seeking a Commercial/Personal Insurance Lines Account Manager to help expand the company's book of business by managing various types of insurance policies for new and existing clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to provide effective service and helpful recommendations to all clients and/or producers.
  • Contact clients within required time frames to evaluate their requests, make recommendations if needed, present quoting results, follow up on payments, and relate new product information and services.
  • Prepare and provide submissions and price quotes for new/existing clients as needed. Coordinate with principals regarding broker/carrier presentations and meetings.
  • Prepare and submit new business/renewal submissions to carriers and brokers.
  • Compare quotes as received and help determine recommendations for clients.
  • Submit work flow to be completed overnight by outsourced techs overseas.
  • Help with quoting, underwriting and pre-binding on renewals/new business in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Answer client inquiries as needed, as well as issue endorsements and certificates as requested.
  • Update principals on renewal results within required time frames.
  • Attend seminars, training programs or other applicable seminars as needed for continuing education CE credits to maintain licensing.
  • Document all telephone/email inquiries and pertinent policy information in our agency management software system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Active 2-20 Property & Casualty License (or Series 215), if you don't have one, we'll help you get it.
  • At least 1–3 years in B2B sales or 3+ years in insurance sales/service
  • Confidence in prospecting, networking, and closing business
  • South Florida based (Miami preferred)

Education & Experience

  • Education/Training Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: At least 1 year prior insurance experience required (either Personal or Commercial lines works)
  • Customer Representative 440 License minimum required, or
  • Property & Casualty 220 License preferred.
