Position Summary

The IT Procurement & Asset Management Specialist will support our ongoing asset management efforts and will be responsible for maintaining and consistently updating the IT inventory company wide. Must understand the concept and need for asset management and will be a contributor to an overall process working with multiple teams to maintain hardware inventory which will enable the department to reduce hardware costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compiles planned inventory and connectivity reports as well as other asset reports and records.
  • Utilizes record keeping and reporting process to identify existing assets.
  • Conduct regular audits of maintenance/asset management processes.
  • Request asset numbers for newly purchased assets and track and reports on the progress of labeling andtagging assets.
  • Order equipment, including hardware, software licenses, and obtain support from vendors as needed.
  • Responsible for packing and moving hardware to appropriate locations for shipment and maintaining and arranging storage rooms.
  • Manage hardware, software and vendor lifecycle, including renewals, upgrades, discount programs, etc.
  • Audit equipment/license usage, including periodic inventory exercises and "true ups”. Partner with the accounting team for payment updates and reminders, creating purchase orders and fulfillment of request tickets.
  • Facilitate smooth process flows (e.g., new user setup) through standard, documented processes, andautomated workflows.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all IT Asset Management processes.
  • Regular attendance at the assigned work location for our corporate office locations is an essential job function. For team members who are located in or near the Chandler, AZ and Duluth, GA offices, this is an in-office position. An IT presence is required due to the number of employees within these offices and the need to support as needed

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to triage and troubleshoot unfamiliar issues within Asset Management.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.


Education & Experience

  • Associates degree in relevant technical fields, or related field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) required.
  • Previous experience working with vendors on ordering and creating standardized fulfillment processes.
  • Experience with Office 365 is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Previous knowledge of Manage Engine – Asset Explorer is a plus.
  • Asset management experience, including refresh cycles and inventory management, is a plus.
