Essential Duties and responsibilities

• Create accurate, detailed electrical schematic and layouts drawings based on sketches and instructions provided by our customer base.
• Maintain and update design database for current processes.
• Communicate design requirements with clients and production staff.
• Sustain lead times and a reasonable backlog.
• Program Laser Cutting Machine utilizing Laser Nesting Software.
• Work with staff to resolve design issues, improve processes, and determine corrective actions.
• Participate in the plant safety program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• AutoCAD
• Comfortable Using MS Office Products, specifically Excel
• Ability to read and understand mechanical design, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings
• Detail oriented and dedicated to quality
• Good interpersonal skills
• Measuring with tape measure and calipers
• Reliable attendance and transportation

• Familiarity with circuitry and Ohm's Law,
• Experience with laser cutting or CAM software.
• Familiar with small business and its specific challenges.
• Sheet metal fabrication.
• SolidWorks.

Education & Experience

• 2-year college degree or equivalent, with a focus on engineering or manufacturing principles
• Minimum of 3-years of work experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
