Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations across multiple entities and currencies. This role is critical for managing our diverse revenue streams, ensuring rigorous adherence to GAAP, and leading our financial strategy to support the company's growth ambitions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting: Lead budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of internal and external financial statements.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls. Manage tax compliance and coordination with external CPA firms. Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, standards, and corporate structure agreements, maintaining records in accordance with these requirements.
• Cash Management: Oversee strong cash management practices, including cash forecasting, while managing required balance sheet ratios and covenants.
• Compensation & Payroll: Administer payroll, commission and bonus plans
• Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning and budgeting efforts, providing financial insights that guide the company's strategic direction.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work cross-functionally with department leaders to align financial strategy with overall business objectives. Serve as a leader, mentor, and manager to the financial and accounting team.
• Banking & Financial Relationships: Manage banking relations and financial partnerships, fostering relationships that support the company's financial goals.
• System & Process Improvement: Utilize ERP systems like Netsuite to streamline financial operations. Implement processes that improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Team Structure

• Direct reports include an Accountant, Cost Accountant, Bookkeeper, and AP Clerk, alongside collaboration with an outsourced Retail BPO and external CPA firms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Controller role within a multi-entity corporate structure and a multi-currency environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Netsuite, and a solid understanding of landed costs.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team of financial professionals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, capable of working effectively across multiple departments.
• Experience in an omnichannel environment, including eCommerce, Amazon Marketplace, and retail distribution, is essential.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Capable of providing financial due diligence for M&A transactions and supporting investor activities
