Position Summary

If you are experienced with managing or administering payroll or tax or benefits and want to join an organization that is growing and has significant opportunities for you to make a positive impact, come join our team. Our organization's growth is largely driven by acquisition, and the System Conversions team is responsible for converting clients from their legacy system onto our chosen processing platform. The Conversion Consultant is responsible for the successful go live of their assigned clients, communicating directly with the client regarding the changes and coordinating additional internal resources working on the setup and validation. Using your knowledge of our processes and procedures, you may assist with data validation from a wide variety of formats (including text, and comma delimited data files), using your analytical skills to research and identify any issues with the system setup or the data translations, helping to identify root cause of the discrepancies and participate in problem solving. This position requires a detailed individual who is committed to providing the highest quality system conversions in the industry while meeting tight deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all client interactions: setting expectations, providing training, processing payrolls, issue resolution, and information gathering.
  • Partner with internal partners on system requirements, providing input as needed on unique client complexities and incomplete setup.
  • Familiarization with current client design in prior system, to ensure new system will meet client needs – and provide the client with 'what to expect now' scenarios where sizable differences are identified.
  • Assist client with initial payroll processing on the new system, ensuring 'clean' payrolls are processed prior to transition to service.
  • Provide clients with system level training and provide user access.
  • Monitor email communications in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate updates regarding client conversion status, appropriately raising and documenting risks, or barriers to go live.
  • Track outstanding client level issues and ensure resolution.
  • Participation in process improvement initiatives
  • Documentation of identified issues, with the necessary follow-up to ensure a positive resolution.
  • Accountability for an assigned grouping of clients, successfully managing their conversion to go-live process.
  • Participation in analysis gathering sessions, interacting with other departments and clients as needed.
  • Constantly learning and increasing your knowledge and skills of our systems, processes, and industry

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience administering or processing Benefits, Payroll, or Tax
  • Embraces changes and contributes to new initiatives.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent client facing skills, to include de-escalation.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships in a cross-functional environment


Education & Experience

  • 1 year payroll processing or benefits administration experience required.
  • Previous tax experience preferred.
  • Payroll experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to strong skills in excel.
  • Prior experience in a system conversion or implementation department preferred.
  • Experience with payroll software/applications preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Ability to type 35 WPM
