Position Summary

The Property/Casualty Agent Consults with prospective clients to discuss and understand their insurance needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Procure Commercial P&C Quotes/Policies by creating submissions and working with the clients and insurance carriers.
Work with insurance carriers and clients on policy changes, cancellations, and other policy services/client services.
Calculates reasonable premium quotes using the information gathered.
Maintains communication with clients to identify changing needs in services, property, or account information.
Explains the insurance products available, the different coverage types, and the benefits of each plan.
Maintains communication with clients to identify changing needs in services, property, or account information.
Collects information such as location, value, and outstanding debts about the property to be insured.
Manage insurance policy expirations working with the carrier and clients on policy renewals.
Create and manage Insurance Product cross selling campaigns for current clients of Nexus & Vensure.
Continue skill and knowledge development for selling and servicing P&C Lines of Business to different types of Risks/Clients.
Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software., knowledge of AMS360 Insurance Software a plus
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with multi-company/divisional highly desirable.
Exceptional time management skills, as well as attention to detail
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work effectively with other internal departments and external insurance sources.
